New panels can be created conveniently from existing generic templates or by cloning an already existing panel. After creation all aspects like profile structures, site contents, layout and styling can be modified freely. This makes Jambo panels an ideal solution for anyone who needs to manage multiple panels or create new panels on a regular basis.
The languages that are in use inside a panel are configured centrally and are available throughout the system. Every web page, profile survey, e-mail, description etc. can be defined separately for every language. This allows website visitors and panelists to view all content in their language of choice.
A profile is a collection of panel attributes like age, gender, education, etc. But profiles can hold any type of information. Users can modify or extend profiles at will without limitation and modifications in closed profile variables are re-mapped automatically.
Panels are not limited to a single profile. Multiple profiles can be used together to group panel attributes in a logical way. When marked as mandatory profiles must be filled out for a panelist to be considered a full member so he can take part in panel activities. The remaining profiles can be filled out at any later stage for any group of panelists.
By defining exclusion categories a user can control how often panelists can take part in certain types of activities. Panel activities can be associated with multiple exclusion categories which flags panelists taking part for these categories. When selecting panelists for an activity exclusion periods can be expressed for each category. This results in the automatic exclusion of panelists from taking part based on their participation history.
This way it could be arranged for example that panelists can take part in any type activity only once in every two weeks. But more fine grained control is possible as well. As an example, one could easily exclude any participant in a survey about vacations from entering similar surveys for three months.
The integrated incentive system helps you maintain a high panel response level by automatically assigning credits to panelists that take part in activities. Cashing options can be defined in terms of vouchers, cash payments or charity contributions. You define what options are offered at which credit amounts.
Then it is simply a matter of assigning credit amounts to each activity. Panelists will then automatically receive their credits when they complete panel activities. Once they have accumulated a large enough credit budget they can easily cash credits from their personal website.
But then the magic of a multipanel kicks in. Subscriptions in multiple memberships by the same person will be automatically connected based on universal key values (like their e-mail address).
Linked memberships will be taken into account during participant selection for panel activities. Although selections can be made across memberships the selection system will prevent that the same person is selected more than once. And by assigning preference weights to each membership users can control membership distributions across selections.
Such multi-panels are very suited for combining multiple specialty panels into a single large panel system that allows you to select samples efficiently. This makes Jambo panels ideal for generic research panels.
Our sampler combines profiles, memberships, exclusion categories and quota to select groups of panelists with desired profile distributions. Such distributions can expressed using in both dependent and independent combinations of profile variables. The advanced sampling mechanism can select any requested target selection or, when it can't be realized exactly, approach it as closely as possible.
Obviously, as mentioned earlier, the sampler will take people who are in multiple memberships into account to prevent people being selected more than once. And it will honor membership preference weights to not only find the required profile distributions but also the optimal membership distribution.
The sampler is the perfect tool to actively select panelists and connect them with activities. In addition to this method of populating activities Jambo offers the river sampling facility. Based on per activity priorities, filters, exclusions and quota the system will automatically offer activities in the personal sites of suitable panelists.
In their personal sites panelists are offered a list of activities they can take part in. They may have been actively selected for some of them but some may be selected by the river sampling engine.
River sampling is a way of connecting panelists to activities automatically, saving you a lot of time. Since it is a process that is triggered by panelists actively visiting their personal site it is an excellent method of making sure panelists always find some available activity. This helps you with keeping churn rates low.
Surveys and panels are so tightly integrated that panelists will automatically be decoupled from activities when quotas are fulfilled or exclusions block participation. That means the activity will no longer appear on a panelists personal site, even if the panelist was connected actively via the sampler.
In addition to surveys a panel allows you to organize forum discussions. You define the discussion topics using text, images and videos after which you either open up the discussion to all panelists or use the sampler or river sampling to invite peoply to take part in discussions. Like all activities panelists can access discussion via their personal sites or through invitations sent by e-mail.
The panel dashboard provides real-time information about the enlistment process, profile distributions and activity response through informative tables and graphs.
